Tobey Land

Has been a part of the Summer’s Swim Academy family since she was 15, and teaching since 16. She has always had a love for the water, but after being here found her passion for teaching. When she was 17 she left our company for nine months only to come back and say “I couldn’t stay away, this is where my heart is.” Now as the Aquatics Director Tobey trains all of the new teachers, works the front desk, and still teaches. When asked why she loves working here she said, “ If it is teaching the kids or training new teachers, there are days when it all just clicks, you can see the excitement and confidence on their faces. There is nothing more satisfying than being a part of that.” Tobey has her CPR and Water Safety Instructor through the Red Cross, along with the Infant & Toddler Pool and Classroom course certificates from the United States Swim School Association. In her free time she spends time with her “Little Sister” as part of the Big Brother / Big Sister mentor Program. She also likes to spend time with good friends and great family.
